For thousands of years, people have turned to religion for morality, hope, and meaning in life. Different religions have played important roles in shaping human culture and civilization. At the same time, history also shows that the misuse or blind following of religion has sometimes led to division, violence, and discrimination in society. In a healthy society, the freedom to ask questions is essential. No belief system, ideology, or social tradition should be beyond discussion or criticism. Open conversations based on reason, science, and human rights can help societies progress and improve. However, there is a difference between criticism and insult. The goal should not be to intentionally offend someone’s beliefs, but to express opinions through logic, evidence, and respectful dialogue. Respecting differences while allowing free expression is an important part of a democratic society.
